Notes From Scrimmage

Athens — Some “unofficial stats” from Monday’s scrimmage, in which Georgia coach Mark Richt lauded the play of quarterbacks Matthew Stafford and Logan Gray:

Stafford was 11-of-21 passing for 108 yards and one interception and no TDs. He drove down the field for field goals on their first two possessions, first from the 20 and then from the 30. Gray was 12-of-22 for 119 yards with a TD.

Caleb King was the leading rusher with 52 yards on 11 carries and Richard Samuel had 45 on 11 carries.

Demiko Goodman was the leading receiver with two catches for 61 yards and tight end Tripp Chandler had four catches for 34 yards and a TD. Freshman A.J. Green had three catches for 28 yards before leaving with an aggravated hip flexor.

Cornerback Remarcus Brown led the defense with 10 tackles and linebacker Darryl Gamble added seven.
