Dawgs Put On The Pads

Georgia gets to put the full pads on for the first time today and will hold a morning and an afternoon workout session. Georgia will have four two-a-day workout days through the next week, today, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Georgia wore shoulder pads and shorts on Friday.

“We could have put the pads on today but you can’t tackle so we decided to leave them off,” Richt said. “If you put the pads on and can’t tackle, sometimes the guys get confused, so we just left them off until (today).”

Richt shortened Friday’s practice by cutting the final conditioning periods in anticipation of today’s full-contact workouts.
